Yes we’ve offered a PG from 8th grade. We’re not the only ones. He’s that good and will play for Garfield Heights in 2022-23.

His father is Sonny Johnson , who was Ohio Mr. Basketball in 1998.

We haven't had a Cleveland area player since Steve Logan, right? It's not an area we've historically recruited well - same for most of Ohio outside of Cincinnati.

Logan + Levett, Patterson were from Cleveland and haven't had one since to my knowledge, excluding walk ons (John Koz).

Seems that any legit Cleveland kid now goes to Ohio State or another Big Ten program like Michigan State. Would be nice to snag one.

It's been awhile since we landed a player from Cleveland area who made an impact. As GoBearcats said, lately been Ohio State or Michigan State landing them. Maybe the Cats luck will change.

My cousin lives in Cleveland and has seen Marcus play several times. He thinks Marcus could start at the high major level right now.
