The Enquirer has an article on Travis Steele. Save you non-subscribers the trouble: Steele wants to coach at XU still, AD says they are focused on NIT and will evaluate after the season like all coaches... I don't think Steele would be gone, but he only has 2 years left. If he doesn't get an extension, will be hard to convince recruits he'll be there.

Frank Martin is out at South Carolina... the former UC assistant led South Carolina to a Final Four five years ago and his name was briefly on the radar for UC before John Brannen was hired.

I was thinking about posting this last week and said meh, but Frank went out and really kind of publicly called Desiree Reed-Francois terrible for firing Cuonzo Martin at MIzzou. Both Frank and D R-F have UC ties but I'm not sure they crossed paths while there.

Speaking of the Millers, maybe LSU could hire Sean Miller. That way, they could maintain continuity within their sports programming missions!

The current AD is known for throwing large sums of money to get high profile coaches. Kelly, pried Kim Mulkey (WBB) away from Baylor where'd she'd won a national championshiop. I be shocked if he didn't spend a ton of money for someone to run Men's basketball. I think the question is will that money offfset dealing with the sanctions they have coming.

Louisana poltics have a very rich history of being dodgy so, to be honest, LSU is just going with the flow there.
