Terry also spoke the keys to winning. Get off your hero ball a$$es and set screens. If you are to screen for SL THEN DO IT. Why does Terry think that is vital/ he made it very simple and easy to understand. No stats and showing extreme knowledge of the game (which he has), but basic BB.

Terry made an insightful comment on the pre game. He was asked how Mitchel could get in position to take more than 2 shots. he said he needs to make the right cuts to get in his shooting area and then demand the ball. Maybe he was saying Mitchell was lazy and stood around watching instead of having his head in the game. I may be wrong but zero points from a scorer has to have a reason.

Dickinson didn't mention this game, as the interviewer, Adam Finkelstein didn't ask him about it. The entire (short) conversation was about the need for AJ Storr to step up and score more.Originally posted by Lobot View Post247 interviewed Kansas' Hunter Dickinson on the game prep for UC. Right after that, a betting "guru" picked UC to win, but that Dillon Mitchell has to play better than he did in Waco.

I agree with you. Kansas is not only good at defending the rim, they are also good at defending the three-point line (teams in conference play are only shooting 25.7% from the three-point line). It appears that if UC wants to win this one, they may have to hit some tough shots against a pretty good defensive team. Is that likely? We will see.Originally posted by sedz View PostKansas has a very good defense (#4 in the country), but it's conservative. They don't turn you over and they'll let you shoot the three. Their strength, much like Baylor, is in keeping opponents away from the rim. Baylor, Arizona, Kansas, BYU, Texas Tech, and Iowa St are all top 20 nationally at defending the rim. We can't just take what the defense gives us or making jumpshots is the only way we'll score in this conference. We have to get to the rim against good defenses, and that means spreading the floor, off ball screens, and misdirection.
I just want to see some different offensive schemes. Even if we lose by 20 again. We're never going to be an efficient offense unless we modernize.

Another game that I don’t expect the ‘Cats to win. I do want them to look like a BigXII team however. If they can play well, I won’t be upset about a loss.Originally posted by Gmann View Post
I hate to say it but I have to agree. I don't see much of a chance of winning this one especially since Miller has shown no propensity to coach upset victories.

Kansas has insane conference numbers, They are outscoring their conference opponents by 23, they are out-rebounding teams by 14, they are holding teams to 55 points a game, teams are only shooting 32.6% from two, and 25.7% from three. UC, with its defensive and shooting woes (not to mention the .52% free throw average and that conference opponents are outscoring UC on the free throw line by 8 (15.3 to 7.3)), will give Kansas some resistance but will be dominated somewhere in the game to take the loss. UC will be 0-4 after this one.
