Forget about the stats and all of that stuff. UC won because of its new uniforms. UC has not lost a game yet in those new uniforms. Hey, do not even bother to wash them. Keep on wearing them. Back to Fifth Third and Arizona State. Wear new uniforms.
Day Day got a bulk of his points from his drives. Has to be clear-outs, but he did drive into some traffic successfully.

Bandaogo is still the superior option defensively to Page. I was not keyed into him last night when watching, but just from the box score the 5 defensive rebounds, 1 block, 2 steals (and surely a bunch of altered shots) seems like nothing to scoff at.

Page is intriguing but seems like anytime he gets the ball on offense he just shoots or goes up with it -- not to say that is wrong given the broken offense right now, but...

Page is worth a try. I agree a Slopy win but a win. It was fortunate the Cats caught them down two starters. Right now, regardless of a win, the Cats are not good.

UC stayed at 41 in the NET (but picked up a Q2 road win)

just watched this morning. Somebody had to win. Glad it was the Cats. On the plus side -- The Cats made some FTs and SL had some nice shots. On the minus CU too easy getting down the lane. Luckily they couldn't make most of their easy shots. CJ is playing better especially on defense. CWM need not get puffed up after the win. Consider the competition.

CU was missing two starters, I believe. UC did not shoot very well but neither did CU. I am happy UC won but this game but UC did not do anything to ease my overall worries. Lots of work to do.

He most definitely did have a different tone almost like I don't want to talk anymore I'll just show all of you doubters. I'm glad they got the win but that was a depleted team they played and still almost blew it. I'm hoping this relieves some pressure and they can stack some wins but I still have serious doubts. The offense is almost unwatchable.

Gotta keep winning. Dayton has dropped 3 straight. That big non conference win is worsening by the day.

Wasn’t pretty but they took care of business in winning time, despite losing all the momentum. Potential turning point in season.

You are correct. I have not seen anyone take a charge either. Good point.

The Colorado game should be an indicator as to how bad UC is. Both teams are 0-4 in the conference. CU is in last place at 16 and UC is right in front at 15. Remember that UC was picked to finish no lower than 6th. Man, did somebody get that one wrong. At any rate, I HONESTLY do NOT see a win here for UC. Here are the reasons why: 1) CU is scoring 68.5 points/g in the conference. UC is only scoring 55 points/g. CU is shooting it at 43.8 %, UC is shooting at 37.9%. CU hits about 15.3 free throws/g, UC makes only about 5.8 free throws/g. That is a difference of 9.5 more free throws made/g. Likewise, CU is shooting the 3-ball at a slightly higher average, 29% to 26%. These numbers suggest that UC again is in trouble.

Defensively, UC may have a slight chance. CU gives up about 78.3 points/g, UC gives up about 66 points/g. Also, UC is holding teams to 26% from three. CU is holding teams to 35.7% from three. Likewise, UC has a slight rebounding edge at 36/g to 34/g. UC has an edge when it comes to the offensive boards 13/g to 10/g. UC turns the ball over less than CU 13/g to 17/g.

UC has some of the most dismal conference stats in the BIG 12. UC has to be the worst offensive team in the BIG 12. After Saturday's game, UC now has a negative 10.5 scoring margin. Think about this for a second, UC gave up only 54 points and LOST by 14 to Kansas.

I read that Mitchell gave a very passionate speech last week to the team. He stressed that there is a lot more basketball still left to play and that the team must continue to work hard and continue to fight. In life, once you hit the absolute bottom, if you fight hard enough you can only go up. Let's hope that UC basketball hit the absolute bottom with the Kansas loss. Let's also hope that UC basketball will NOT drop below the bottom.
I was wrong. Glad I am. Any win in the BIG XII is a good win.
