Wes isn't going anywhere until April 1. That's when his buyout drops to $4.9 million. The University is already dunning season ticket holders to renew for next year. Even if you intend to,as I do,don't do it until after April 1 to at least try to put some pressure on the AD to get rid of WM. I am the buyer for a group of 8 but nothing will happen until after that date.

The rebounding was even worse than the totals indicate because Texas Tech was so efficient shooting. They only missed 25 shots and rebounded 12 of them. That's a 48% OReb rate. Ouch.

Our offense was the same, but the shooting reverted to normal. We took 27 midrange shots, more than anywhere else on the floor. We made 9 of them. 18 points from 27 shots, or 0.67 points from midrange. Thiam was 4 for 13 from midrange. You can't make 88% every game like he did against Kansas. Over the long term he'll revert to his average under 50%. It's not a good shot to rely on. Still, we put up a solid 1.12 points per possession because we only turned the ball over 3 times. But we gave up 1.32.

Celestine was again our best player with 3.0 net points, scoring 13 from the field on 12 shots plus 2 for 2 at the line and game highs with 3 offensive rebounds and 2 steals with no turnovers. Baba was second best, scoring an efficient 11 from the field on 8 shots with 4 assists. Thiam was third best. He scored 15 from the field but needed 19 shots. He added 10 boards and a block.

Day Day was our worst player, scoring just 5 from the field on 7 shots. Tillery was second worst, 0 for 3 shooting in 12 minutes. Harris was third worst, 1 for 4 from the field with 2 fouls in 10 minutes.

it was not the fact that they lost, but the lack f defensive effort. Then the panic shooting without any organized offensive plan. I can somewhat accept losing, but never such wretched sloppy play.

Lots of standing around watching shots, while TT's players scrambled and anticipated the miss to get the rebound. The Cats got 2 points from their entire bench. The Cats were out-rebounded by 15.

It was so intense watching old Huggins' teams, or even Cronin teams, where every shot/possession was challenged to the point of someone always getting into early foul trouble, but had the depth to overcome it.

These guys just watch and wait, like it's a pick-up game or the NBA. Possessions aren't valued, there's no complicated footwork or passing anymore, everyone's spread-out, jacking-up jumpers or bean poles in the middle like Thiam. It's not just the Cats, but the state of modern basketball, it's just not that entertaining to me anymore I guess.

Two of the names mentioned as CWM replacements, Schertz and Calhoun have lost 3 of their last 5 games to weaker teams. Houston has lost 3 in a row. There is no doubt that Kansas was guilty of overlooking our game to Houston
Kansas destroyed Houston and they are a great team. We play so hot and cold, it’s no wonder we got smacked by TT. I like all of you are ready for much needed upgrade Questions:

My problem was when Thiam wasn't double teaming he made no effort to slow his man down going for an easy dunk. Even the announcers said that it was too easy. Imagine that -- It was too easy to score on the Cats going to the rim. I want my Bearcats back.

Did anybody see a TOP 10 DEFENSE out there once the TT coach made his adjustments in the first half?

old cats: KMart, Fortson, Brannen, Connor Barwin matching up with guys six or seven inches taller, and not backing down. when did this program quit recruiting men? guys with the temperment and drive to not lose?

Lack of REBOUNDING absolutely Killing the Cats!

no mumbo jumbo, new age stats on this, but, what is rebounding? effort, hustle and tenacity. what does this team lack? effort, hustle and tenacity. is that on wes miller? maybe. was wes able to get some of these guys, because other coaches didn't see those intangibles? **** if I know. i thought sincere harris was supposed to be that guy. and, to some extent, he is. but he often seems out of control.

They tried to double Anderson, but as soon as he recognized it he passed inside. I don't think it was Thiam's fault the bigs were open underneath when he came out to double. Anderson is clearly TT's best player. Without Toppin, Wes put together a scheme to try to slow him down. However, that plan left players wide open and Anderson is a great passer, plus he was simply on fire shooting the ball. It was a gamble we lost. Let's win these next three, and show up big for Senior ight against BYU.

Well this board was quiet from the monotonous bashing for a while. Now it’s all back. We should just run over top 20 teams on the road every game. Arizona is down 2 at Baylor with 5 minutes left.

It was not the fact of playing a top team. It was the fact of no physicality when playing a team in our own conference. I have been a long time fan of the bearcats and I refuse to accept that lack of effort. No we shouldn't or won't be able to run over the top teams, but we better make an effort. I saw open dunks with our bigger players not making any attempt to stop them. Cincinnati was out rebounded by 16 at 40-24, its largest deficit on the boards all season. TT was smaller, minus a double double machine, but they played with heart. UC left theirs in the Kansas locker room celebration.

TT has a very good coach. He had a game plan against UC and executed it flawlessly. All without their best player too. UC had no answer to that plan. It was poor defense by UC or excellent offense by TT - probably a combination of both. It didn’t help that UC could never rebound the ball. I do think going 1-1 against two ranked teams on the road is a good result. Two home games left and a road game at TCU. Maybe UC can win all three to finish above.500 in the BigXII.

On the one hand I was hoping that we could win at TT after handing the Jayhawks a loss and maybe bring life back into the tourney hunt. But then I think what's the use of even getting selected when the team comes out with the effort they displayed tonight. I've seen enough one shot and out possessions from Wes Millers offenses in the last five years to last me another five. I say sayonara WM.
