When Baba and Thiam are our two worst players, we can’t win. Have to give TCU some credit for that.

We really need a floor leader guard for the Bigs to win against top competition. The lack of one showed and our guys looked hopeless against the TCU defense. I want Tillery but he needs to make a GIANT LEAP. It is time to pay for one in the portal.

After the BYU win I noted that our 6-1 stretch was thanks to limiting turnovers and that running the offense through Baba was the reason for our success. Well, all that came crashing down on Saturday. Out turnover rate went from 10% during the streak to 30%. Baba Miller posted a 52% TO rate, the highest since his FSU days. TCU's defense was rotating well, but we were throwing skip passes out of bounds all day. Lots of unforced errors.

We scored 63 points in 63 possessions, exactly a point per possession. Not terrible on the road against a good defense. Making threes helped make up for the turnovers. But TCU outscored us by 20 inside the arc and by 11 at the line.

Day Day was our best player with 2.9 net points, a second straight game of hot shooting as he made 5 of 11 from deep. But he also had 4 turnovers and only 1 assist. Celestine was second best, continuing his hot shooting streak making 4 of 8 threes. Harris was third best, held scoreless but led the team in DBPM and assists with 5. Jizzle, Dzellat, and Abaev also had positive BPM.

Baba was our worst player with negative 6 net points. Only 4 points in 35 minutes with 5 turnovers. Not even 14 rebounds can make up for that. Thiam was behind with negative 3.5 net points, scoring 8 points on 8 shots with 3 turnovers. Tillery was next worst, going 1 for 3 from the field with 3 fouls in 14 minutes.

I didn’t hear the game so I’m not sure in what way he was “hysterical”. Was hoping someone who listened on the radio would respond.

While I had the TV on the game (muted), I listened to Hoard and Nelson throughout the game and postgame. I didn't hear anything in the neighborhood of hysterical. Neither was happy but their demeanor was fine.

Not attending games to show your displeasure is just not reasonable. Most season ticket holders selected their seats a long time ago and intend to maintain those until the Miller administration is gone.An alternate tactic is to find the athletic department directory on the gobearcats website. There you will find the email addresses of many of the influential athletic department staffers. Unlike coach Miller,who is apparently incognito,these folks actually read the emails and often respond. I know because I have sent many. I want to think this feedback with enough critical mass circulates and finds its way to John Cunningham. **** I even got a personal response from Cunningham after a carefully worded( not hysterical) rant.

I have done that several times. The best I got was for a private tour of the new facility before it opened for the public. When I was more involved, I believe they did listen to me concerning the Senator. Of course, he had made up his mind to leave.

If we retain Miller for another year, then we are stating that mediocre baskerball is ok for our school. This cannot continue & he should not continue after this year!

We saw how a good coach yesterday exposed our much bragged on front court game. Why do we think that other good coaches won't always beat UC unless they have injuries

Jizzle is the same guy he was two years ago. Skillings never changed. Miller hasn't changed. Abaev hasn't gotten a lick better, and he is a guy that apparently had upside.

I thought the talent was there this year to maybe gel. But this was as big a game today as any of these guys has played. They didn't play like it.

I'm moved on from Miller. He had his shot and if he comes back next year, it will be more of the same.

Me too, though I'll be honest, I've started going to sleep before the end of some of those late away games.

I'm hoping we manage to win two (or more) in the Big 12 tournament, the NCAA accounts for Jizzle's late return and Celestine's injury and we sneak in to the tourney.

If we miss, I'm not sure what the best case scenario is. Fire Wes sounds good in theory, I was on board with Tournament or bust. But then you start looking at the numbers (how much will it cost to fire Wes? 7 million or more?) and wonder are we better off waiting one more year? Not because I believe in Wes, but financially, it might make sense. Especially if he can get most of the roster to return (Jizzle, Tillery, Thiam, Haynes, McKinley). Are we really better off with a new coach on a budget recruiting all new guys than we are with one more year of Wes? May depend on what the decision makers think of the other options. If they think Calhoun is a can't miss hire, you are getting a guy who should stay loyal to UC even if other schools come calling.
