Congratulations to UConn? They beat an FBS opponent for the first time in 2 years.

UMass really are a shadow of a real FBS team. Sagarin Predictor lists the Minutemen as clearly the worst of the lot, ranked #229, meaning that 99 FCS schools are ahead of them.

Tulsa had Memphis on the ropes. Trailing, 42-41, Tuisa called TO at 0:01 and set up for a 29-yard FG from the right hash. The redshirt frosh PK hooked it wide left. So, the Tigers left with just one AAC loss.

Temple started off up 7-0; headed off at halftime down 28-21. But the 3rd Qtr has been ugly, ugly for TU, down 56-21 with 56 seconds left*. And an entire quarter to go. UCF has had lots of long gains.

* The next play was an interception by UCF.

Having watched both Memphis and SMU play on TV, there is no doubt in my mind that Memphis is the much better team.

I was shocked Houston played that well last night.

SMU used to wear Dallas on the unis way way back. Those are the 150th anniversary of college football throwbacks for them. The D on the helmet is the City of Dallas logo. That look last night was only supposed to be worn once but they broke them out again last night to support the tornado victims from last week. The tornados in Dallas went through here just north of the SMU campus.

Houston could have very well have won that game. Couple very, very costly turnover which led to them losing. Houston is a dangerous team. That said, my guess is we want Smu to do as well as possible. However, they've still got Memphis, Tulane and i believe Navy on their schedule so they could very well drop some games. Their good, but not unbeatable good.

SMU should light up Houston

UCF at Temple will tell us a lot about Temple going forward. I'd like to see UCF win this one so we hold the tie breaker if we win out.

UConn has a chance to beat an FBS team when they play UMass, who is also 1-6. I'm tempted to watch this just for the inepitude level.
