Ok, so Friday night I am driving from Northern Virginia to my home in TN, and I have an ESPN radio station on and Greg McElroy is giving his breakdown (FWIW) for the Big 12 for the 2025 season. I'll try to give the Cliff notes version from memory:

UC (just 'meh' ...McElroy had the least amount of airtime dedicated to the Bearcats team)

GM was very high on BYU, ASU (especially if their transfer portal replacement at rb for Skataboo works out), and TTU

Coaching staff changes at KU, Houston, Baylor should help; very high on UH incoming transfer QB Wegemann if he can be healthy

New HC's at WVU and UCF will get them headed in the right direction, but possibly 1 to 2, maybe 3 years away

GM really likes KSU's QB but they need to get him some weapons at receiver, he is looking for a big rebound year for KU because he said when you have year that everything goes wrong (injuries, etc.), it is usually followed by a good year. GM was perplexed by OSU's poor season last year because going into the year he thought they'd be good - so he didn't really have high expectations for the Cowboys this year if I recall correctly, same for Arizona.

I think its also due to no one, nationally, has any interest in this team, at this time

I'm not concerned about not playing on Friday nights. I like to go around the area to high school games. Beside, they do open the season on national TV on Thursday night in Week 0.

Spring games may be gone starting this year. There are several reasons why the big boys would like to see this end. https://fanrumor.com/college-footbal...7tzWFJUfiDUIbw

Absolutely, but not every team can get there every year. I only meant a bowl game next year as progress, though hope for much more than 6
