The few times I caught summer or preseason games, he looked like a deer in the head lights and was playing with zero confidence. If he wasn't a first round guaranteed investment he would be headed to the development league. I hope he grows a pair and earns his roster spot. In hind sight, Jacob and Gary should be in reverse positions. Lets hope Jake settles in and proves he belongs.

If I was a Golden State fan I would be pretty disappointed by these numbers from our first round draft pick. However... the guy drafted right after him (Dzanan Musa) posted worse stats. http://www.espn.com/nba/player/_/id/4348696

These are the NBA preseason lines for Jacob. Honestly it's not at all encouraging. Not sure if he's still semi-hurt or struggling with the new shot mechanics or what. Maybe it's the confidence thing he's always had a little bit of an issue with. In any case this is rough.

This article is paywalled but Anthony Slater wrote up the Golden State current siutation a couepl of dsaysa ago and addresses Jacob's shooting issues. Still not convinced he's healthy and according to the article he still has a toe issue and rib bruise.

This is really sub par stat line for Jacob. 3rd game in a row. Something's off. Anyone catch the game last night? Looks like the whole GSW team had a bad time.

Second game in a row with a weird line from Jake. Has to be something wrong or his new shot form has left him.

I thought he looked very passive on the court on offense last night. However, I have no idea what the coaching staff told him to do. He's hanging out at the 3 pt line a lot and the other guys on his team aren't giving up the ball when he's open. GSW spends a lot of time outside the line so he may be the one who's is doing it right. That said, when he gets a wide open look, he got to sink the shot and he was not doing that in the parts of the game that I saw last night.

At this point. Jacob looks lost and overwhelmed. There are a few rookies looking pretty good, but most of the guys excelling in the summer league are second or third year players.

Jake with an off shooting night last night. 25% from the Field. The Box has him listed as starting at PF (?!?)
