Finally some good news for Keith.

It is almost unheard of the NCAA not granting a transfer in the age of Covid. I would like to know the background to all of this. Good luck to Keith wherever he may go.

If my memory is correct, He declared for the draft, signed with an agent, didn't get an invite to the NBA combine and pulled his name out of the draft and went into the portal. I think the fact that he signed with an agent is the problem here adn why he didn't get his waiver. Money had to have changed hands there somewhere.

“Keith Williams, his appeal has been denied and he will be ineligible,” Stansbury told the Daily News on Tuesday. “We’re highly disappointed in the decision from the NCAA, not just for us but for the kid. Keith’s been a terrific young man. He’s worked hard this fall and stayed engaged. His situation – there’s been other kids very similar who were ruled eligible and we don’t understand how they came to this decision, but there’s no more appeals possible. This is where it is. I hate it for the young man as much as us.

“He was a terrific player. There’s no doubt he could’ve helped us in all areas. It says a lot about who he is as a person to hang in here and continue to fight through all of this when he had his college degree already and he didn’t have to, but he did well in school and he worked hard and he was ready to go for us. Keith did not play in the first game for WKU. Apparently there are eligibility issues after he signed with an agent, and he has not been cleared.

I wish Keith all the best at WKU. I thought for sure he'd be in G League or overseas instead of one more year in college. I hope he shines.
