Saw him in action tonight against Dayton Dunbar. I forgot he was being recruited by UC. Good player (heady, knew what to do with the ball, good shooter, could go to the basket), will have the chance to see him in action more this year. Wonder if a redshirt year might be a good option for him - a chance to build up in the weight room.

I'll post more as I see him in action in the future.

RJ Greer (4-star on Rivals, 247 and 3-star on On3) down to UC, NC State, Penn State and the NBL in Australia

                https://www.on3.com/news/3-star-sg-r...enn-state-nbl/

Cincinnati: “They were the first school to really recruit me hard. The relationship I have with the coaches is second to none and they’ve really shown interest in me and building a relationship with my family.”

Interesting his list does not include UD, where his dad is associate head coach

                Junior year #s through 7 games with Alter: 17.7 points (86.2% FT, 43.2% 3), 2.3 rebounds, 2.1 assists, 2.6 steals

And here is the 247 story on Greer narrowing his list to four options, including UC https://247sports.com/college/basket...ati-224611891/

“The three schools and the NBL are my options. NC State came after the NBA Academy, Cincinnati was one of the first schools to really recruit me hard then Penn State I’ve known those coaches since they were coaching against my dad at VCU and I’ve known them for a while. These four options are best for me.”
                  ...

Cincinnati: “I have a great relationship with the whole entire staff. I feel like I’ve been to Cincinnati over 20 times whether that’s practice or sitting down with the coaches. That’s probably the best relationship I’ve built. They’ve been really good with me by recruiting me and making me feel like home. We talk a lot about basketball and personal life.”

Wondered where the NBL option came from but apparently he has an Australian passport so I'm assuming his mother is Australian.

The NBL has proven to be a strong development option for NBA Draft-caliber one-and-done prospects but I don't think RJ fits the bill as a fringe 4-star recruit.
