Page had a rough first season. We're counting on his potential rather than what he's shown on the court so far. Still, it's worth looking at his statistical profile.

He put up a negative 1.3 box plus minus, worst on USC's squad, so it's easy to see why he didn't play much. He was actually decent on defense with a positive 0.7 DBPM. He didn't show much rim protection with a 3.4% block rate, but he only committed 3.4 fouls per 40 minutes which is very impressive for a freshman big. The problems are on the offensive end, where Page posted a negative 2.0 OBPM. He was an efficient scorer, converting 53% effective field goals. He's average on the offensive glass, grabbing 8.1% of available rebounds, a tick above USC's starting frontcourt. But he made bad decisions with the ball, posting a horrible assist rate (6.3) and turnover rate (26.9). You can't play a guy who's turning it over on 27% of possessions. But if Page can get a better mental grasp of the game and learn to play within himself, he can develop into a productive player.

The athleticism is evident. Page is not a slow big. He's more like Ody. But he thought he could play like a wing at this level and it got him into trouble on offense. I think he can be productive in a more defined role.

I may be wrong but I think Page is still just 18.

We have plenty of wings, maybe he will like Wes' offense where the big comes out to the perimeter to pass or pick-n-roll.

from the highlights provided he does not come across as a lumbering slow big. He does show quite of bit of activity when on the floor. Hopefully it's just a case of the college game was just to fast for him his freshman year. And at 18 years old that is not unheard of. There's still plenty of time for the game to slow down for him to catch up. I'm anxious to watch him develope and hope he sticks around for us to do so.

"AP is an awesome addition to our team. We prioritized him in our recruiting a few years back during his junior and senior year at Wheeler High School. We've always felt that his combination of size, athleticism and versatility were great fits for our style of play. Beyond that, he fits our culture. His work ethic and improvement at Wheeler was significant and culminated in a state championship. I believe he will also thrive here at UC. His best basketball is way ahead of him, and I can't wait to coach him."

Is he really 6’11 ? I’ve seen some reports that had
                            him at 6’9 ?

He was 6'8 when we started recruiting him in 2022 as a junior. Whether he's actually 6'11 at this point I'm not sure but it stands to reason he grew at least a little in the last 3 years. USC had him listed at 6'11 which could be wrong.
