Harris was a freshman at Illinois with Chester Frazier on staff. Frazier then went to WVU this year and Harris came with. Earlier this week, Frazier took an assistant job at Virginia Tech. Frazier just had three tweets praising Harris.

Yeah kinda, but more exaggerated. Better defense and worse shooting.

We could be really pesky defensively with Harris and Day Day on the floor together. They both have top 50 steal rates (maybe throw in Skillings who was top 150 and Mitchell who is active on the perimeter for a 4). Seton Hall had two top 50 steal guys this year and they were horrible though. Still gotta score.

Skillings prob gone, Mitchell may be too. But that’s for another thread.

Potential backcourt of Thomas, James, Harris, Kriisa, Tillery and Hickman.

Thinking more about Harris comps, I think best case is an Immanuel McElroy type - a poor shooting defensive minded wing who makes small winning plays. If he improves his shooting he could be a John Newman or Kevin Johnson.

Most likely is Jamual Warren, a great defensive guard who can't shoot at all and defers to higher usage guys on offense. Still a positive impact overall.

Worst case is a Chris McNeal or Deshaun Morman - defense isn't enough to change games and really hurts the team on offense with poor decisions (I will never understand what Brannen saw in McNeal - negative 2.4 BPM at Western Kentucky, negative 2.3 BPM at New Mexico, negative 2.3 BPM at Cincinnati).

                    Dan Hoard:

"I loved watching Sencire Harris play this year. He is a defensive menace and a relentless competitor. When people use the expression 'plays like a Bearcat,' he's the type of guy they're talking about."
