Very close friends. Played together since 2nd grade. Kam has been working Tyson ever since his own commitment to UC. But yes, money talks, and it did in this case as well.

Four-star point guard Joshua Tyson has committed to Cincinnati, he told Rivals.

The 6-foot-2 senior and West Chester, Ohio, native ultimately chose the Bearcats over Xavier.

He is ranked No. 56 overall in the 2027 class and the No. 18 point guard, according to the Rivals Industry Rankings, an average of all three major recruiting media companies (Rivals, ESPN, and 247Sports).

Tyson becomes UC's second commitment this cycle, joining four-star shooting guard Kam Mercer (No. 52 NATL).
