CJC has roots in Cleveland, no? If he can recruit the state of cincinnati, and draw on his roots, he could bring a helluva lot of talent to Clifton. Kinda like back in the day.

as in the words of George Harrison "I got my mind set on you
I got my mind set on you
I got my mind set on you
Got my mind set on you

      [Verse]
      But it's gonna take-a money
      A whole lotta' spending money
It's going to take plenty-a money"

      should be interesting

I’m concerned that tO$U has prioritized Tyson and his apparent close relationship to Mercer. Since they have prioritized Tyson, would they up their offer to Mercer to convince him to change commitment and then lock up Tyson at the same time?

I would not put anything past them. Especially when it comes to one upping the ugly step child ( in their eyes ) of the SW portion of the State.

Does O$U really have that much to spend on basketball, considering what they spend on that football team?

As I understand it, money is not a problem for any sport at tO$U because football makes enough money to fund the entire department. A tO$U booster told me when they built the new(er) basketball arena they used donations only, no debt. I never confirmed or refuted that but I have no reason to doubt it. Imagine if UC funded the football indoor practice facility without borrowing money. The athletic department at UC would be much better off.

tOSU Coach Deibler has been complaining about too small of a share for the BB team. He had a better season last year and so he is being listened too. The talk of UC getting the better Ohio guys is the rallying cry for a bigger piece. While they had NIL money for BB it wasn't as much as people think. Of course you need to look at players like Mobley and the incoming frosh and know they didn't come on the cheap. They do have both sides of the Schottenstein family. Even if Value City is going under, the other real estate/finacia/american eaglel side ( what the arena was named afte)r. are the big donors.

Sorry for the dark as somehow I got it turned on and I don't know how to turn it off.

Joe Tipton says Tyson has scheduled official visits to XU, OSU, Virginia Tech and UC + is working on a visit to Michigan State.

No reason he has to stay local/regional, but Virginia Tech seems random.

a tOSU forum had another mention that he is the top priority.

                          UPDATE
                          From Bucknuts
Diebler really likes Tyson as a floor leader and playmaker.

Did he say floor leader/. I mean our biggest need for years, a local kid and the chance to smack tOSU around.
I don't hear the same talk coming from the Cats. tOSU seems rather upfront with letting him know, but NIL does talk. How bout a talk with a former UC floor leader -- Think Oscar would help?

I hope that this does not mean that he is looking at Indiana or Purdue.

I've been doing this a while and I'm not sure we've ever landed a player from La Lumiere. I could be wrong but pretty sure the success rate is 0%. That said, this is different coaching staff.
