  • @KayserHoops says Utah freshman Kendyl Sanders is visiting:
    - UC Santa Barbara today
    - Mississippi State Friday
    - St. John's Saturday
    - Cincinnati Sunday
    - Colorado Monday or Tuesday

The 6'8 230 lb. forward averaged 5.2 points and 3.1 rebounds this season as a freshman. He had 6/4 and 2/2 in the two meetings versus UC this season.

Brumbaugh visited South Carolina earlier this week. Chad Brendel mentioned that UC are still in the mix, but the more trips he makes, the less likely it is that Brumbaugh will come here. The staff also are working on Tulsa PG Tylen Riley.

      • Jeff Borzello reports Charlotte's Anton Bonke is visiting Kansas and Michigan State, with UC and others also on his vist list.

The 7'2 center is from Vanuatu -- apparently near-ish to Australia -- and was listed as a junior this year. He averaged 10.6 points and 8.3 rebounds, plus 1.5 blocks this season.

        • Rob Wright sticking with BYU

Maybe Keyshuan Tillery would want to do the same?

              • So if i'm keeping track, so far UC has commitments from the following portal/transfers:
                David Iweze C

                Tyler Tejada PF

                Riley Allenspach C

                Myles Colvin SF

So it's fair to say, this team is in dire need of PGs & SGs? Tillery is still on the fence, with no decision in near future?

Still early in the process, but CJC definetly needs to land an impact PG to lead this team. We've had visits from these (2) PGs:
                Elijah Perryman

                Rowan Brumbaugh

If i'm CJC, I am doing everything possible to land Brumbaugh.

                • Rayvon Griffith is transferring from Kent State to Cleveland State.

I wonder what never translated for him to the college level or if the evaluations were just off - consensus Top 100 recruit. Felt like such a big moment for Wes Miller/UC when he committed.

Hope he can find some success this season.

i started to follow the french bearcat on twitter last spring, as he would reply to a lot of tim adams' posts about uc baseball. I gotta think he was told to leave - he really seemed like he loved it here. i'd hoped that he'd stay - good size, and seemed to be improving over the course of the year.

                    • Looks like X landed a decent CG in Chance Westry from UAB.

                      • Houston just picked up a transfer from Lamar. Also have added guys from Kent State and Purdue Fort Wayne (plus one from LSU).

Will be interesting to see how those guys translate.

That's why I'm not concerned about much....yet. System and coaching play a huge role.

Houston also has two top high school recruits signed, including five star Arafan Diane, the top C prospect in most recruiting services. Diane is one and done NBA bound.

Sampson always brings in guys with elite skills that fit his system. Braden East from Lamar and Delrecco Gillespie from Kent St have two of the highest DReb rates in the portal. Corey Hadnot from IPFW protects the ball and relentlessly attacks the rim (over 200 rim attempts as 6'3").
