If coming here would be nice to get Eric Hicks or Bobby Brannen to his personal "mentor" like CJC intends to do.

Templin looks way bigger than 230 lbs. Maybe the monster factory can produce a nice "before" and "after". I agree on having Eric Hicks work with the bigs in the off season or whenever. Pound for pound, EH punched way above his weight.

I was curious if players who have a coaching change can enter the portal prior to April 7th and found the answer is no, not yet officially. Players can enter the portal with a coaching change after the 15 day portal window closes, but end of season coaching changes must not count because it looks like our players cannot officially enter even with the coaching change. This article summarizes the key dates to know.

Only eight days remain until the college basketball transfer portal opens this spring and college basketball programs across the country will use the window to retool their rosters ahead of the 2026-27 season.

Rayvon was a fan favorite and good offensive player who could fit into Calhoun's system. Worth at minimum making a call to gauge interest.

Rayvon was a backup at KSU, he averaged 14 minutes, 4 points, 3 rebounds. Got to the FT line less than once per game. He started 2 games.

I'd pass on Rayvon, even though I was hoping for a lot more production. Could barely get on the floor in Mid-American Confernece. Probably way over his head in the Big 12.

A pair of locals are reportedly hitting the portal:

Eric Mahaffey, a 6'6 wing from Moeller, who averaged 7.8 points and 5.6 rebounds for Akron this year as a freshman (had 8 and 4 in 18 mins in NCAA loss to Texas Tech)
Trey Perry, a 6'2 guard from Lakota East, who averaged 5.8 points for Miami U this year as a freshman (had 21 in the 110-108 OT win over Ohio U)

^^^Both seem undersized for the Big 12.

“Sources: Kansas sophomore Flory Bidunga intends to declare for the NBA Draft while maintaining his college eligibility. He also intends to enter the NCAA transfer portal, as he’s keeping open the option to return to college.”

Didn’t we hire Drew Adams in part to lure Bidunga here, and we still lost out twice?
