I won’t be surprised if Wes Miller reaches the NCAA before CJC does. Wes has a much easier road now.Last edited by longtimefan; Yesterday, 12:37 PM.

Yeah, plus it seemed clear that CJC really wanted Tillery to stick around. Maybe he's just shopping a bit, but if he's gone, I'll be bummed. That young man is going to be a special player, at Cincinnati or somewhere else.Originally posted by longtimefan View PostWe’re told we have plenty of $$$ to compete, but our three most valuable players from last year are in the portal. I hate the way the game is now.

Cincinnati Loses Out On Key Transfer Target | Fanrecap.comOriginally posted by GoBearcats31 View PostTracking Utah State players with eligibility (listing their class for next year):
- Mason Falslev, senior (16.0 ppg) - staying with USU
- Karson Templin, senior (8.8 ppg) - staying with USU
- Adlan Elamin, sophomore (6.7 ppg) -- hit the portal with a "do not contact" tag
- Elijah Perryman, sophomore (4.4 ppg) -- believe Chad Brendel said he may be a candidate to stay at USU
- Tucker Anderson, senior (3.4 ppg) -- transferring back to Central Arkansas where he started his career
- Luke Kearney, senior (1.7 ppg) -- ???
- Jordy Barnes, junior (0.9 ppg) -- hit the portal yesterday
- Kingston Tosi, freshman -- 6'8 redshirt this year is staying with USU
- Brayden Boe, freshman -- 6'4 redshirt ???
- David Iweze, freshman -- 6'10 redshirt was previously announced as intending to hit the portal
Not a lot of talent that could still come from Utah State, unfortunately.
"Earlier today, Falslev, the Mountain West Conference Player of the Year, confirmed he will remain at Utah State for his final collegiate season."

IU football and Michigan basketball just won national titles with second-year coaches. And there were plenty of first year coaches who found success this season -- it should not take five years to make the tourney like Mick did (and it is why patience wore out with Wes) but without many returning minutes potentially, absolutely, it could be a challenging 2026-27 for Calhoun. But if he's genuinely a good coach, then it should be a non-issue.Originally posted by longtimefan View Post
How many years did it take Mick Cronin at UC? It’s much harder now, and it looks like we will have zero returning players.

A look at the rest of the Big 12 as the portal opens. Not entirely accurate, they still show Kayden Allen as a UC recruit.

so, so far, abaev, tillery and thiam are portaling? has anyone else jumped? I guess one question would be, from the rest of the guys, who would CJC want to keep? schollys are now one year, correct? could CJC just tell some of them to leave?Originally posted by Gmann View Post
I'd put my money on CJC all day. I had 5 years of Miller and I know what that is. No thanks.
