IARP came back today on Memphis and gave them a 5K fine, 3 years of probation and a vacation of all games that James Wiseman played in.

Why did this take years? What was the point?

We can only hope that the Tigers' brass do the right thing and follow through with the vacating of their wins in which Wiseman played ... both of them! At least they used him to beat the high major powers of SC State and UIC. What a joke.

Five grand are pocket change. Three years of probation are meaningless.

Also, from the actual IARP document, "Core Penalties 1. a. A $5,000 fine, plus 0.25% of its average men’s basketball budget based on the average of the men’s basketball program’s previous three total budgets".

Nothing I saw in the document stated how much ths 0.25% amounts to, nor who determines the figure.

The Sean Miller saga is a continuous joke. Assistant has completed jail time, and no rendering by the Ncaa.

Kansas just suspended Bill Self for a whopping four non-conference games in connection with the Adidas scandal. He'll miss three non-factor opponents, as well as Duke in the third game. He accepted the penalty. No joke.

This was preemptive by Kansas. Their NCAA notice will happen in January.

Louisville gets off scot free as well. From Matt Norlander

BREAKING: Louisville dodges major punishments in IARP case, @CBSSports
has learned. No postseason ban, $5,000 fine, small reduction in recruiting days and two years of probation. Rick Pitino, Chris Mack avoid punishment entirely. Decision will be made public later this AM.

Matt Norlander: "Former Louisville assistant Kenny Johnson has been hit with a two-year show-cause that will prohibit him from recruiting. Johnson was hired in the spring by Archie Miller at Rhode Island."

Per Pat Forde, Sean Miller will receive exactly zero sanctions from the NCAA IARB in the Arizona case. Decision should be out in about 10 minutes.

And back then, it was just chicken feed compared to the NIL deals now and the pay for play crap going on.
