Been wondering about McGinnis' status.. got this today:
I was told A.J. getting hurt at the beginning of the year really hurt his progress and chances of getting on the court. While he had to work his way back, the guards in front of him just made it tough for him to get any serious playing time. A.J. also didn’t shoot the ball well in the eight games he did play. He also was a liability on the defensive end. I don’t know what Wes’ plans are for him going forward.
All the best,Keith Jenkin
So I still have heard NOBODY say red-shirt

On another thread, I shared a tweet from the UC basketball Twitter account from "The Monster Factory." There were 4 photos. On Instagram, they posted 10. The last one was a photo of someone named Chase Kirkwood, who I assume is a walk on. From Willoughby, OH up near Cleveland. Looks like maybe a rising junior in college.

Memphis is looking at pretty much having a new team in 2022-23. I'm not sure rivalry will enter into it. Kendric Davis from Smu is probably their go to guy.

I was thinking that that had some to do with it. But it seems Memphis is forever looking at sanctions. And anyone who gets recruited by them should already be aware of that. Makes for a very interesting twist in the already intense rivalry between UC and Memphis this upcoming season.

I'm not sure, but it seems like he might not have felt as prioritized. His minutes took a slight dip this year, but also with Bates and Duren coming in he was probably less of a focal point. He was the leading scorer at Memphis two seasons ago and fourth this year. That's not all Penny's fault or anything. Just speculating. Also, several guys have hit the portal, so it's not like he was alone.Originally posted by Rufus View PostIm wondering why LN transferred from Memphis in the first place. Dont get me wrong I'm excited to to have him as a bear- cat but I thought his situation w/ PH / Memphis was on solid footing. Could it be because of the sanctions and penalties that could be forthcoming prompted the transfer? Or the imminent move to the big12? Here's to welcoming LN to bearcat nation.

Vastly improved roster from that of last season. Were taller and stronger with more experience and with another year at the monster factory for some hopefully will equate into more presence under the rim and the ever elusive rebound. Kudos to the entire coaching staff but more of a shout out to coach Dollar who I suspect was very instrumental in landing Nolley. Can't wait for the updates usually supplied by GoBearcats31 during the summer months to monitor the team chemistry as it builds.Last edited by Rufus; 04-27-2022, 09:14 PM.

They should play... if they don't, legitimately would be transfer portal candidates.Originally posted by bearcatbret View PostSomeone had wondered if Skillings and/or Reed would play this year. Typically, I do not like to see freshman play because I would like for them to get familiar with the system and get stronger. Tolentino would be a good RS candidate.

Plenty of talent on the roster. Still need to improve rebounding big time.Last edited by GoBearcats31; 04-27-2022, 06:32 PM.

I gotta figure Sage redshirts next year with Viktor, Ody, and Kalu Ezkipe. Depending on who takes the last scholarship, any chance Reed or Skillings redshirt? I think both are projected to e ready to compete for playing time, right?
