Memphis is currently getting crushed without Kendric Davis (injury). Houston almost has them doubled up at the half.

Seems more likely than not that UC will be in the 4/5 game. Always wanted to be on the opposite side from them, but any chance of making the big dance will include beating Houston -- so might as well do it in the semis ;-) ... still, would prefer a top 3 seed but we'll see.

I predict Memphis will beat Memphis on March 5th , actually Houston will beat Memphis

Oops! Fixed.

With that being said, we'll need to beat Memphis ourselves in 2 weekends, have Houston beat Memphis twice, then have Memphis lose one more game for them to finish 11-7.

That would give us room to lose one game (most likely @UCF) and finish 12-6 ahead of them.

If there's any remaining route to a top 3 seed in the conf tourney for UC, it'll likely come at the expense of Memphis who has a very tough closing stretch.

Memphis beat Temple this afternoon but lost Lomax and Dandridge to injury apparently. Thta's 7 of the last 8 for Memphis in the W column.

If there's any remaining route to a top 3 seed in the conf tourney for UC, it'll likely come at the expense of Memphis who has a very tough closing stretch.

Memphis beat Temple this afternoon but lost Lomax and Dandridge to injury apparently. That's 7 of the last 8 for Memphis in the W column.

UCF destroyed Tulsa in Orlando yesterday 96-52 . UCF sank 17 3s in that game.

ECU and Tulane game was postponed because the ECU PxP announcer suddenly died sometime early Friday morning at the team hotel. He'd been calling games for 30 years

Temple losing is good for our dwindling chances at a top 3 seed.

Winning at Memphis and UCF is going to be very tough.

George Kliavkoff is visiting SMU today. I would imagine he'll attend the Mustangs' basketball game against Temple. He'll get to see what a real SMU crowd looks like. I went to the SMU website and saw that fewer than half of the seats at Moody have been sold as of 3:30 CST. They're going to need a boatload of walk-ups.

They probably won't get them. Team is terrible this season.

Including Houston, seven of the top 16 teams in today's Bracket Project's tourney crystal ball are from the Big 12: Houston, Kansas, Texas, Baylor, Iowa State, Kansas State and TCU. Were in for a war when we join the league.

I agree. Looking at the current NET with the existing B12 and current AAC incoming teams, our NET ranking will go up significantly solely on schedule strength and being in that league. If we can rise to the challenge, we can be one of those teams. might take a couple years. Let's Go!

Tulane holds on to win 90-89 in OT at Memphis.

The 4-team race for the #2 and #3 seeds in the AAC tournament is shaping up to be a wild one.

Wichita St blows an 18-point 1st half lead midway through the 2nd half, leads by 8 again with 2:30 to go in the game, and ends up needing a game-tying 3-pointer with 10 seconds left to force OT against Tulane at home.

Tulane never trails during OT and goes on to beat Wichita 95-90.

UC now sits 5th in the AAC standings.
