Statement from Cincinnati head coach Wes Miller on Simas Lukošius who was hit by a car last night:

“We are relieved to report that Simas has no major injury from Thursday night, and his participation status is day-to-day. He is feeling better from the initial shock of the incident, and we are grateful for everyone’s support.” #Bearcats

I hate that this happened. It happens way too often on Jefferson Avenue. Probably not so much on Clifton, Calhoun, and McMicken because of the lights, backed up traffic, etc. But it seems like a student is killed every year on Jefferson. I do not know where he crossed but the City needs to get control over this.

          Keegan Nickoson:

Wes Miller says the coaching staff ran to the corner where Simas Lukošius got hit by a car on Thursday after getting the call that it happened.

Said he was shaken up and that his body hurts. Miller isn't sure about his status but says he doesn't expect Lukošius to be out long-term. #Bearcats
