You can't overwhelm them Leo. It's taken three years to see some semblance of a defense. Let's take one step at a time. Now we work on free throws until we get up to a respectable percentile. Then we can move on to rebounding. Next will be court awareness / keeping eyes on the ball / anticipating passes from drives / catching passes that hit our hands. Apparently all these kids know coming in is shooting the basketball. I would like the know the real number of points we have left on the court in these first 5 conference games with all the missed lay-ups, free throws, and passes bricked off the hands and missed under our own basket.

I would throw in rebounding, perimeter defense and movement on offense. Oh yeah the lack of court awareness most of the game.Originally posted by BearKatz View Post

Mo Egger:
Bearcats came in shooting 67.1% from the free throw line, 292nd in the country.
In their five losses, they are 47 for 81 (58%) from the line.

Not much of the bearcat toughness today -- weak and didn't hustle/compete.

This game was lost at the line! If Miller wants something to focus on?? Try having each player shoot 500 fts for next Practice!!!!

One guy played his heart out in the 2nd half. John Newman. Poor effort from everybody else.

The best thing about going 13-5 is the chance to redeem themselves against the big dog -- How will our Bigs do against the KU front line.
