Half: UCF 43, @ KS 41. DuJuan Harris out injured. Self had to use 3rd string PG for awhile.
Keyshawn Hall 17, Darius Johnson 13. Jayhawks 10 TO, but up 25-15 on the glass. Dickinson & Mayo 11 each.
This is the Knights' payback night, after the Jayhawks embarrassed them in Orlando, 99-48, in their 2nd B12 game this year.

TCU rallied from down 9 in the 2nd half and took a 6-point lead in the final minute at Baylor. A Frog fouled VJ Edgecombe while shooting a trey. He hit all 3. Baylor then pressed and forced TCU to lose the ball across the Bears' baseline. Baylor tied it at 0:25 with a trey, causing Jamie Dixon to call time out. TCU drew the Baylor 1-3-1 zone to the center, then found a wide-open shooter in the corner. He buried a trey at 0:05. Frogs win, 74-71.
It was basically a mugging for 40 minutes; very physical. Baylor played out of control for much of the 2nd half. The Frog's effort and physicality, particularly by Earnest Udoh inside, was too much for the Bears.

Yeah. You may have a good point there. With no byes, the BIG XII is going to be really tough for everybody.Originally posted by swilsonsp4 View PostThey are more talented this year. Their problem is depth over a 20-game B12 schedule with no bye weeks.

Just a reminder. We've seen Small. Formerly at ECU and OK State last year. High volume scorer at the PG position.Originally posted by leeraymond View Post
West Virginia is a pretty good defensive team. They are holding teams to 63.6 points / g, their opponents are shooting 37.3% from two, and 28% from three. They have wins over Gonzaga, Arizona, and Georgetown. Their last three games, without DeVries, WV has held those three teams to a combined average of 50 points a game.
You are assuming that Tucker DeVries is WV's main weapon. He is WV's MAIN three-point shooter. DeVries makes about 3 threes /g. Sixty-four percent (64%) of his shots are 3-point shots. Overall, DeVries took only about 12.9 % of all the shots. WV has other weapons. Javon Smalls (6'3" point guard) hits for 19 points / g, Amani Hansberry (6'8" 240 forward) scores about 10 points a game, and WV also has a little-known 6'8" guard, Toby Okani, who may be (maybe) an NBA prospect.
In other words, what I am saying to you, I think WV can win without DeVries in the lineup. I believe that WV may be one of the sleeper teams in the BIG XII. I have seen them play. WV appears to have a REAL CHEMISTRY this year. I could be wrong, but of what I have seen of them they have some really good parts and pieces.
Watch out for West Virginia.

However, with their top player, Tucker DeVries, out for an extended time (and possibly for the season), the Mountaineers are short-handed. The B12 grind is likely to wear them down.
