    While we're talking Warriors-Rockets...

"Then just a few minutes later, [Draymond] Green got into another altercation with Tari Eason. Green fell on top of Eason and drilled him directly in the head with his feet after they were fighting for a loose ball — which sparked another, though less severe, dust up. Green held on to Eason’s collar briefly and then looked like he was going to lift him up by the leg, but the two were separated successfully.

Green was assessed a flagrant foul there, which allowed him to avoid the automatic ejection. Eason was also given a technical foul."

The first half was one scuffle after another, mostly featuring usual suspects Draymond Green or Dillon Brooks. A great basketball game broke out in the second half.

Illinois is building a Balkan (southeastern European) all-star team that will surely enter the new season as a title contender.

6'3 Mihailo Petrovic (22 y/o) - incoming recruit who averaged 14.3 ppg and 7.3 apg in the Adriatic League last season.

6'9 David Mirkovic (19 y/o) - incoming recruit who averaged 9.1 ppg and 6.6 rpg in the Adriatic League last season.

7'2 Zvonimir Ivisic - incoming transfer from Arkansas (by way of Kentucky) who averaged 8.5 ppg, 4.3 rpg, and 1.9 bpg (with a 8.5 BPM) last season.

6'7 Andrej Stojakovic - incoming transfer from Cal (by way of Stanford) who averaged 17.9 ppg and 4.7 rpg (with a 4.7 BPM) last season.

They also return 7'1 Tomislav Ivisic (twin brother of Zvonimir) who averaged 13 ppg and 7.7 rpg (with a 10.7 BPM) last season.

Wild that a 22 yr old professional can come over here and play college ball.

It's Thunder dome. And there is only one rule in Thunder Dome.

What you all think. I say 2 or 3 seasons until there is a in season transfer portal. Basically a trade deadline

Can't blame the NCAA. Their hands are tied by a permanent injunction preventing any transfer restrictions.

What is missing is a real opportunity to create a professional league here in the states. AAU is basically that, but I'm talking something akin to the Adriatic League. Make it rune from mid April to August so players stay in high school, i.e. maintain student eligibility. Make the teams similar have a geographic footprint, though players could move to other geographies and play if enrolled in high school in that geography. This could be built from the AAU circuit, and also pay the players a salary. There could be multiple teams within a geography. The post-season for a league like this would be excellent, with in season games within a region, and the post-season national.

Perhaps we could even open this up to 15-18 yo kids globally. While I'd expect salaries for most kids to be in the 30K range, some top rated kids could command high 6 figures at that level.

yeah, you can. the ncaa has been one of the worst run organizations in recent history. completely incompetent. way too late, reactive, as opposed to being proactive.

The series to watch is the Detroit-New York series. That is good old fashion tough hard-nosed gritty basketball. One of the best play-off series I have seen in a while. I think that the Knicks will eventually win the series because they have the most talent and play-off experience. If Detroit had a decent scoring 5 and a 4, this team would be very scary. Great series. Good defense.
