Have to start somewhere. Why not at UC? I am sure that Kilpatrick can coach drills, especially shooting drills. He also can share his experiences of what it takes to be an NCAA Tournament team. I can see his value. But you are correct. No experience.Originally posted by GoBearcats31 View Post
SK has zero coaching experience outside of running clinics; Adams came to UC with a fairly extensive background and had been around HS and college teams for over 20 years.

Drew Adams was the recruiting coordinator and an assistant coach. He was responsible for bringing in Aziz, Simas, and Dzellat. Kilpatrick might be a good fit. Not too much older than the players, has pro experience, and he truly understands what it means to be a University of Cincinnati basketball player. No one else on the coaching staff and in basketball operations can claim that except Mike Rehfeldt. Why not use a former Bearcat player to teach the coaching staff how to play Bearcat basketball.
Why not?

Rob Summers it isOriginally posted by GoBearcats31 View Posthttps://hoopdirt.com/daily-dirt-4-7-25/
Word on the street is that Bob Huggins had an initial Zoom with Cleveland State this past Friday morning. The former West Virginia / K-State / Cincinnati / Akron head coach has been out of coaching since 2023. Obviously the other popular name here is Mizzou assistant (and former Cleveland State assistant) Rob Summers. He was part of the staff that had a ton of success at CSU under Dennis Gates.
