That’s the problem. Aziz had a 6 footer in the lane and tried to pass the ball instead of shooting. We’ve had guys like Kyle Washington who score there, but we don’t have a guy like that on this team. Aziz is what he is, and the lack of an inside scoring threat is killing this team.

It's comical to listen to Miller's post-game. It just shows he has no idea how to fix this. He's happy with the effort. Dude, that effort won't win games in this league and the lack of smarts makes it even more painful. He needs to coach in intramural where every one can get an ice cream after the game. We have another whole year of this crap!

So many things went wrong tonight, where do you begin to evaluate the bone-headed plays? Wow! UC now has lost 7 of 9 with losing streaks of 4 and now 3 games. With West Virginia coming into Fifth Third on Sunday, there is no way UC will win that game.

Listen, how many bad meals do you have to eat from your wife before you realize that she is a lousy cook? It has been over a hundred games now that Miller has coached for UC. Honestly guys, what can we say?

I am NOT advocating that the university ends Miller's contract. However, it is very hard for me to see how things can get better this year and next year if Miller returns. I don't know. It is just a bad situation for everybody: for the players, the coaches, the university, and the fans. UC is now 2-7 in conference play and no wins in sight. Then they have to go back to the booing fans of Fifth Third. Wow. Miller is in a very tough spot.

Remember, the same discussions that we are having now, we had them last year. And you know what, If Miller returns, the same conversations we are having now we will have next year. Do not forget, this is UC's worst conference start in 42 years. Guess what? It is going to get worse.

What lost the game is three straight 1-1 missed front ends.

The Satterville/Miller era is the UC athletics version of the Great Depression.

So. Is Day Day suspended for the next game? Will that force CWM to make some substitution changes?

I was thinking earlier tonight about a game on the riverfront against Oklahoma at least 10 years ago. OU with the lead in the final minute, but then two incredible drives to the basket by Cashmere Wright in the final 30 seconds for the UC win. Honestly, who on this team could we count on to go win a game like that? Who?

One last thing. I’ll be there on Sunday, rooting my head off. This team really needs our support right now, and booing these guys is just wrong.

I think CWM is a player's coach and a very good recruiter, however, I do believe that if Bob Huggins had this much talent our record would be much better

Did not watch the game. From the comments, it appeared to be frustrating to watch. This ‘Cats team is a shell of the team that it was earlier this season. No heart, hustle, basketball IQ, can’t shoot from the field or ft line, slow footed on both ends, and timid/soft. How much is attributed to CWM and staff or how much is an unrealistic expectation of the roster? I can see mass exodus after the season ends and the recruits coming in won’t have any players on the roster to play with. If CWM survives into next season, that is.

Someone needs to put this on a t-shirt. Couldn't agree more. The worst part is the casual fan will be lost. Sad to say, but I've lost interest.

well well well -- game started off wrong for me. I couldn't find the replay on cbss web page and forgot about Paramount plus might have the whole replay. I started at the 11 minute mark and was happy. I saw some defense, but then DS, SL and Jizzle came in. The Utes got a lead. They kept it close, but hated seeing a Madsen hitting FTs at the end. Still a loss, and still too much dependence on lobs. Right now there are not moral victories only another loss. I wouldn't have expected CWM to say anything but good effort as his coaching is receiving a lot of negative comments. At least Huggs isn't coaching at WVU.

PS The Bearcats had no field goals over the final 3:38 - what's up with that CWM

once again I quote Sir Charles Barkley.
Any knuckle head can score, but it takes a BB player to rebound. --Outrebounded 41-23 with 6 offensive rebounds.
The man responsible said "We certainly should be (a better rebounding team), we weren't tonight," Miller said.
Why not CWM. I noticed that there was little boxing out and putting bodies on the UTES. A few of the rebounds were just jumping and the weak Utes didn't put bodies on the Cats either.
Said Utah's Smith, "To outrebound a team like that by 18 is hard to do." ---- Not with these Cats. Monster factory or as the old saying goes "looks like Tarzan and plays like Jane.

Dan Skillings Jr. was held to a single rebound for the second straight game. Of course, the Enquirer brought up being poked in the eye the game before. If that makes you timid, why are you on the court. Your sloppy ball handling, wretched defense, and poor shot selection? No wonder we lose with this from "our best" player.
                              25 1 0 0 1 4
Our point guards had 4 assists between them, but they sure did take shots. So much for making the entire team better.

You've accurately captured the shortcomings of this team. Because the current roster includes highly rated recruits and players who have had success previously or elsewhere I don't think our expectations were too high. I agree that players and recruits should look hard at whether they want to be part of this malaise going into next year. I place the blame squarely on CWM and his staff for a completed lack of ability to develop, strategize, and coach in-game. We are stuck for this year and next with Miller but Cunningham better be thinking about next steps. BTW I believe Cunningham is a big part of the problem given the state of the football team as well. So not much optimism on my part.
