UC travels to South Carolina for a "neutral" game in Greenville against the ACC's Clemson
The Viktor Lakhin Cup will be UC's last true test/resume game before starting Big 12 play on January 3 (UC hosts a pretty respectable Lipscomb in between -- higher NET than UC).
Jay Alter and Randolph Childress will have the TV call (ESPN), while Mo Egger joins Terry Nelson on the radio with Dan Hoard obviously calling the Bengals game.
Clemson is 31 in both the NET and on KenPom. The Tigers are 9-3 with wins over WVU (neutral), Georgia (neutral) and South Carolina and close losses on the road to Georgetown, Alabama and in the Jimmy V Classic to BYU (blew a big lead).
Brad Brownell's squad is led by RJ Godfey, Jestin Porter and Carter Welling -- all three transfers in this season (Godrey began his career at Clemson though). They also have a member of college basketball's all-name team: Efrem "Butta" Johnson who played at UAB a year ago.
Longtime Wright State coach Billy Donlon is an assistant, while DOBO Andy Assaley is a UC grad who launched his career in the early 2000s with Huggs.
