The Knights are better than we think. They're 12-2 with losses to Vandy and OK St. They beat Kansas in the their last home game so I'm hoping a certain Mr. Thaim is extra motivated this weekend. He's probably going to get booed relentlessly.

I would hate to see them go winless even if this team doesn't seem like they are Bearcats.Last edited by leo from jersey; Yesterday, 05:59 PM.

A win against UCF is not likely. Have you all seen UCF's scoring stats? It shoots 48.2% overall and shoots 37.2% from three. It is also outrebounding teams by 8.6. It also has three wins over Power 4 schools. Did I mention that UCF is nationally ranked at #25. Accept that UC will be 0-3 in conference play on Monday. Also, UC will have lost 6 straight conference games going back to last year.
UC is not likely to win this one.

I still hope. Go Cats -- JJ & Day Day might break out. BaBa might control the boards and 52 might get fed the ball. Heck Abaev might hit a few 3s. The question is "will CWM coach up to BIG 12 standards" ?Originally posted by leeraymond372@gmail.com View PostA win against UCF is not likely. Have you all seen UCF's scoring stats? ''UC is not likely to win this one." I'm with Leeraymond on this. As much as I love the Bearcats I have no confidence in Miller any more. I like his enthusiasm, and I like how he has embraced Cincinnati and the University and the community but I just feel with the NIL, and the transfer portal, and transitioning into the B12 coinciding with his hire, that he is way in over his head. Coaching is different in today's collegiate sports and Miller is too set in the way he has done it in the past that he refuses to change. I really had high hopes that Miller was the perfect fit here in Cincy but after these few last years it's become evident that he has no business in the college game as it exists now. Here's hoping for a win against UCF.

Yes the sad state of UC Basketball today is "They are expected to lose". I have a hard time with that although it is true.Originally posted by Rufus View Post''UC is not likely to win this one." Hey Leo, I am hoping for a win too. I am also a realist. Nevertheless, I am still rooting for UC to win.Originally posted by leo from jersey View Post

You know Rufus, since Miller has been the coach, I always believed that he had the rosters to win. I believe that all of his rosters were good enough to win. Look at what the players from last year's team are doing around the country. They are either starting or playing significant minutes. I am not sure about Betsey and Griffith. Even Page, at Northwestern, is doing 14 points and 6 rebounds a game on the season.Originally posted by Rufus View Post''UC is not likely to win this one." I'm with Leeraymond on this. Under Miller, the rosters have been good enough, but can we say the same about the coaching?

LR, Ever since CWM took over I was hoping he was the right guy, the way he embraced the alumni, former players and the Bearcat legacy, I was rooting for him. But last season when the bottom fell out and he couldn't get no production from Skillings, Lukosius, and Dillon on the floor at the same time, and then relying on JJ when he finally found his footing about three games into the conference schedule, it was obvious that Miller can't handle so many egos with the NIL. When the NIL was rumored to be on the horizon of the colligate scene many coaches bailed out / ( retired ). It's my opinion the man's primary downfall is the NIL / transfer portal. And secondly I don't think he has the X's and O's to compete in the B12. And finally I think he's too nice of a guy to succeed in todays college bball in that he's hesitant to yank somebody when they make boneheaded mistakes, or sit them on the bench when they don't produce which of course goes back to the NIL/ transfer portal! If players don't play today they can walk after each season.Originally posted by leeraymond372@gmail.com View Post

Even CWM mentor bailed and he was at perhaps the top program or at least top 3.Originally posted by Rufus View Post
