KSU's defense gave up wide open shots. Heck Day Day had time to a stop and dribbled before making a 3. KSU = bad.

Yeah, I hear you. Also, UC with its 0-4 non-conference record against high-major schools combined with the bad Q4 loss to EMU, it may be impossible for UC to get enough wins during the rest of the season to change any minds regarding whether it is worthy of tournament play.

On the other hand, UC still has three top 25 teams and Q1 games remaining on the schedule (Kansas, Texas Tech, and BYU). If UC can continue its hot shooting, you never know how these things may play out.

One other thought. My guess is that most of the UC fanbase is sick and tired of Wes Miller and may be silently hoping that the team self-destructs during the rest of the season to assure that there is no way that Miller can possibly come back. The thinking may be that UC can do much better with another coach,

I can understand that perspective as well.

Things will come back down to reality after we get smoked by KU and TT in the next couple weeks. CWM can move back to the Carolinas where he belongs and find a mid major job out there and do well for himself. He's a nice guy but not the right fit here. We need a tough love coach not a nice guy.

UCs hot shooting remains to be seen when other teams are racing down the court, not confused by simple rolls and putting a hand in the shooter's face. I have seen some very bad shooting and tos when teams play like that. Regardless I enjoyed last night, but as someone with a defense first attitude, I will wait and see how well the season long poor shooting continues.. The Cats are down 4 players now and other teams can go 10-11 strong. Is Celestine able to keep firing and hitting? JJ has a history of disappearing when strongly guarded. I want them to make the greatest turnaround in Bearcat History, but I have seen the deficiencies of the last two teams defense and hustle. The last two teams have made a very bad Bearcat team look like a top ten national championship contender. I may be legally blind, but I can see excrement on the court.

I wrote after the UCF game"well a win is wonderful. They should have beaten UCF badly as that was the worse exhibition of professional bb I have seen.". I stand corrected after watching the KSU game. Really poor play and one could say Coach Tang threw them under the bus, but he was just honest. He must also be secure in his employment.

As usual this board was rather quiet after a win, but the bashing resumes.

I think many of us realized the entire body of work the last few years speaks for itself. A good shooting game vs. a basement dweller does little to change that. We have moved on from this era, ready for the rebirth. It is what it is.

UC hit close to 70% from 3. That is not sustainable. Bottom line, KSU is not a good team. Their coach admitted as much. If the 'Cats can play well against a team with more than one win in conference, I may start to believe. Until then . . . . .

I don't get the smarmy comment. Thye played really well, against a really bad team. but, it's a blip in the road to ruin, that wes has the team on.

We nearly matched our season high offensive output from the UCF game, scoring 1.29 points per possession. 16 for 28 from deep! Two games in a row hitting over 50%. I need to watch the Olympics more often. This time we also won the rebounding and turnover battles. Total domination.

Celestine was again our best player, hitting 4 of 6 from deep. A close second again was Baba, who made 2 of 2 from deep and filled up the stat sheet with 16 points, 12 rebounds, 6 assists, 4 blocks, and a steal. Jizzle was third best, going 6 of 8 from deep.

Dzellat had the worst game, going 2 for 6 with a turnover. Tillery was second worst, turning the ball over 4 times in just 12 minutes.
