Bearkatz - no disrespect intended. It's just that CWM was quite adamant on the postgame show that he was very unhappy with how the team played.

He should have been. They were taken to the limit at home by the worse team in the conference. 32 for the UTES was just nothing on offense as he passed with wide open shots. The Cats showed no pride. Sunday game, at home on ESPN. They show nothing. Sure Thiam was scoring, but I didn't notice anyone putting a body on him all day so a 7 -2 player should have points. Tillery flowed ok on offense against a lousy defense, but his defense except for one steal was really bad. That is why CWM sits him at the end of the game. he has not figured out the switch and double team. When playing a quality offense he gets scorched. KSU bit the bullet and paid off Tang. I have respect for that as they don't want their team playing so pathetic. They have pride in their program.

While the Utes aren't good, at this point they're better than K-State (each now have just one B12 win). The Wildcats players checked out a few games ago. Then Tang got the axe. The Utes played very hard. They have quality guards, but they lack depth. Near the end of the game, Okonkwo (#32) was breathing heavily through his mouth along the FT lane. Gassed.

Utah had double digit losses against Arizona and Texas Tech, but they were competitive in both those games, closer than the score indicated. Both games they wilted late, worn down by the depth of the opponent.

32 had no confidence in his shot even while breathing normal. He had on at least two occasions and passed up wide open shots . he had some mental problems as well as breathing.

didn't see any of the game. we were out with family. didn't bother to check the score until late afternoon. just don't care at this point (thanks, wes!) happy they won, but, it sounds like it was an ugly game. again, happy theu won, but can't get excited about uc pulling a home out against a cellar dweller by the skin of their teeth.

We scored 1.08 points per possession against Utah, our third straight game over 1 after five consecutive under 1. We didn't shoot well and got killed on the boards, but we had a season best 9% turnover rate. We held the Utes to just 6 for 20 at the rim.

Tillery was our best player, going 2 for 2 from deep with 3 assists and 2 steals. Thiam was next best, scoring 10 from the field on 9 shots, 5 for 7 at the line, 10 rebounds, and 4 blocks. Baba was third best with 13 points, 7 rebounds, 4 blocks, 4 assists, and zero turnovers.

Jizzle had the worst game with only 4 points and 1 assist in 29 minutes. Celestine and Day Day were next worst.

I'll cut Jizzle a little slack. He was sick as a dog on Saturday (102F temperature), reportedly with white spots on his throat. He gutted it out on Sunday.

Jizzle was ill. He had a 102 temp the day prior with what sounds like a strep throat. It showed in his play but we didn't have much else. Celestine, who has shown some flashes this season, was very lackadaisical in his play. Especially on defense. He looked like someone who has checked out.In his post game comments Wes said he was not happy with the level of play but felt lucky to get a win. As an aside ...UC has contrived a new introduction where they quickly mention Wes Miller's name but don't actually introduce him thus avoiding the chorus of boos.
