  • B12 Tourney

There's still basketball to be played. The Bearcats will open B12 tourney play at 3:00 EDT vs Utah. All Tuesday games will be on ESPN+. The remainder will be on a blend of ESPN, ESPN2 or ESPNU (Finals on ESPN). If The Bearcats advance to the 2nd round, they'll play UCF, also at 3:00. That will be on ESPNU.

With BYU arising from the coffin last night to knock off TX Tech, KU moved up to #3.

Losing yesterday knocked UC back to a 9 seed making them play in round one.

Potential UC vs UCF rematch in second game. UCF has lost 6 of 9, including three straight (1 point loss to Baylor, 7 point loss to Oklahoma State, 15 point road loss to WVU). Much work to be done from UC's perspective, if they can take care of Utah. But I am not so sure UCF is going to be feeling very good if they cannot get past UC/Utah winner.

The Cats will have to up their physicality in order to have a chance. I don't really balme the Monster Factory as the players don't stay long enough to be transformed.

          Gotta beat Utah...

Beat UCF and things get slightly interesting again. I think if they somehow find a way to beat Arizona, they're in.

Looks like early money has been going towards the Bearcats. Vegas predicts a 75-63 win.

17 years ago, UC played in a 9 vs 16 matchup -- falling 67-57 to DePaul in the Big East opener, after the Blue Demons finished 0-18 in conference play.

UC was led by Deonta Vaughn's 15 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals (but also 5 turnovers and was 6/21 from the floor). Yancy Gates and Darnell Wilks each pitched in 8.

UC shot 36% from the field, including 5/22 from 3, and also went 4/10 from the FT line.

Louisville won the BE Tournament before falling to Michigan State in the Elite Eight.

Bearcats included in the 5 Teams.

Directtv did something groovy. You can now watch espn+ right off their guide. No hunting for the stream off the espn app. You can now record and watch it from start while the game is in progress. No more waiting for the replay. I looked at the Baylor game and this may be the last chance to watch Skillings. I turned it off.

A few years ago Scott Drew won an NCAA championship. The NIL era has not been kind for Baylor.

He courted and bought Skillings. Sometimes it is just our own fault.

Arizona State held off a second half run by Baylor. Skillings had 10 off the bench in the loss. We'll see if Baylor plays in the NIT or Crown.
