Per Chad Brendel, UC will host Minnesota at 5th/3rd this season (no date mentioned). The Bearcats will return the visit in 2027.

Eric Hicks went for 23 and 11. The HOFer Connor Barwin with a cool 2 points, 4 rebounds in 12 minutes off the bench. James White and Jihad Muhammad combined for 65 minutes, then were ruled ineligible. UC then lost to South Carolina with a starting lineup of McGowan/Hicks/Allen/Downey/Moore. The same day, Huggins was named the K-State coach and the next day Cronin was introduced at UC and Kennedy at Ole Miss.

"Bearcat Journal’s Keegan Knickoson reported Thursday that the Bearcats are set to face Minnesota in a home-and-home series across the 2026 and 2027 seasons. The dates and sites for those games have not been announced yet, but it gives Cincinnati another matchup against a Big Ten opponent as the schedule continues to take shape.

Minnesota is coming off a 15-18 season in Niko Medved’s first year as head coach. Bart Torvik currently has the Gophers ranked 789th nationally entering the 2027 season, which still makes them a useful early test for Cincinnati before Big 12 play begins."

Obviously, UC was unlikely to play UCF. And Georgia and BC are already playing in the SEC/ACC event. So it seems that they abandoned a bracketed event for a round robin.

Seems like they need one more OOC opponent and Clemson "neutral" location may not be decided (eye roll). SC State, of course, is coached by Erik Martin. Nice to see Calhoun's former squad, Youngstown State, on tap as well.

Other participants are Lousville, Arkansas, TAMU and Valpo on the US side and Bahamas, Toros De Valle, Carleton and Dalhousie on the international side.

All games will be streaming on Flo Sports (don't at me, I had nothing to do with it). I'm not sure which time zone those times are though. Might be Atlantic Time

Seems he took a "break" last December and has not resumed

His GB squad went a laughable 4-28 in year 1 and a very respectable 18-15 a year ago.
