Terry said he would love to work with the post men. He then illustrated their errors. Even in an exhibition it is unacceptable. Many areas for coach corrections. I have faith in CJC, but even in an exhibition, there should be some basic skills.

15 seconds up by 9. They never gave up despite being down by 8. This is a new era, but we must have interior defense in the BIG 12-- Win by 11 without Colvin -- made fts and didn't turn the ball over. Terry said good guard play but need defense inside. Tejeda was hot and CJC ran plays for the hot hand and not for the favorites playing hero ball. A new season guys and so far we see a difference in coaching. 15 tos but we outrebounded them and scored in the paint. Of course OSU didn't play the big horses in the second half, but a win is a win.

It was in fact the venue. Sun was a hazard for both teams

CJC in his post game presser didn't isolate specifically defense but admitted that there are things to work out. Was not happy with the TPS but was complimentary of the camaraderie of this group as a well as their tenacity and not giving up. Wish I could have seen them in person can't wait till the season starts.

I won't focus on shooting in a wind and sun game, but we got our first hint of what to expect from the roster. Not many surprises, most guys were as advertized. Carson logged the most minutes despite scoring only 3 points. Riley got to the line 16 times in 25 minutes. Tejada with 17 and 5. Hastings with 16 and 6 in only 21 minutes. Mahaffey logged the fifth most minutes and went scoreless but grabbed 7 boards. Perryman had a game high 5 assists but also 2 turnovers and 3 fouls in just 16 minutes. Elamin had a game high 8 rebounds but also fouled out in only 15 minutes. Fleming had 4 fouls and 4 turnovers in only 13 minutes. Colvin started but hurt his ankle after 3 minutes and didn't return.

Perhaps the biggest surprise is Iweze played more than Allenspach, pulling down 5 rebounds with no fouls or turnovers in 12 minutes. Allensapch with 3 fouls in 11 minutes, perhaps indicating that he will struggle defensively at this level. But overall, the young guards showed that they aren't ready to steal minutes from upperclassmen, struggling with fouls and taking care of the ball. But some promising numbers. Outrebounded them by 10, outscored them by 16 in the paint.

I noticed J.Campbell didn't play. I read somewhere that he has a foot issue? Is that going to keep him off the court for any length of time ? I also saw where CJC in his presser indicates that he anticipates MJ Collins to be available this year. Is it even realistic that the courts will even hear this before the season ends?
