According to Ms Adelson of ESPN, today is NOT the day:

One scheduling note: The Big East has pushed back the announcement of its all-conference team until Thursday, given the news expected later today about expansion. A 5 p.m. call has been set with commissioner John Marinatto and the presidents of Boise State, Houston, UCF, SMU and San Diego State.

Did you even read that? They are pushing back their announcement of their All-Conference football team (i.e. the best players at their respective positions in the Big East... similar to All American honors). It reads to me that the expansion will still be released today.

oops. No ... I saw the words conference and Thursday and filled in the (wrong) blanks.

Oh well, you got it right. Thanks for catching that.

SMU loses June Jones to ASU. There went their relevance.

SMU will be fine. JJ got them here it is time for the next coach to put them on top. SMU has plenty of money to hire a good coach.

I'm seeing on Twitter from ASUDevilscom, Multiple sources saying June Jones will not be the head football coach at ASU.

Also, it's finally official. Welcome Boise St, Houston, SMU, SDSU and UCF

And the media types can go to The Continental Breakfast for all news updates.

All joking aside, you'd be in a hole when you add Hawaii.

If Air Force is out...I think it would make sense to add two more schools in the central to pacific time zones for the western division. If we add Temple and Memphis...memphis can go to the west (5 teams) but Temple is going to create 7 teams in the East. Some team is going to have to travel quite a bit more than that rest...right now the speculation is Louisville...but I think it should be a new member that has to travel.

I have seen it written that UCF would go west.

Air Force is definitely staying put in the MWC. I'm not sure how that affects Navy, at this point. There had been some talk out of Annapolis that the Midshipmen were waiting for the flyboys.
