Consider it a love letter addressed to Chapel Hill. I don't suspect Louisville has anything like this in the works. ACC schools value academics over sports IQ.

Valid point. However the AAU can be a huge bonus for our chances of getting to the ACC.

If the ACC gets obliterated I don't see how they do not take us.

We immediately bring:
Football respectability
Basketball history and on the upswing
And an emerging academic school

UC is a totally different place from when I applied there in HS ONLY 5 years ago. Now I'm not entirely sure I would get in. Probably would, but not as quickly or easily

Boise State athletic director Mark Coyle and San Diego State athletic director Jim Sterk both said their schools were committed to joining in 2013 as football-only schools.

"Nothing's changed. We're here at the conference meetings," Coyle said of the Big East. "It's great to learn a great deal about the conference and the direction and all that."


He said there have been no discussions about staying in the Mountain West. As for a home for the other sports programs, Coyle said there have been continuing talks with the WAC and other leagues.
