UPDATE: The Big East Conference -- or potentially the America 12 Conference -- finally stabilized to a degree after a new television deal was reached and the "Catholic 7" officially departed (with the Big East name in tow). The league's next step is believed to be the addition of a potential 12th member. Tulsa is the only target, and something could finally emerge in the coming days.

So the 12 members in 2015 should look like this...

    Central Florida
    Cincinnati
    Connecticut
    East Carolina
    Houston
    Memphis
    Navy
    South Florida
    Southern Methodist
    Temple
    Tulane
    Tulsa

Somewhat underwhelming when you look at the stark list of names.
...a fountain of eternal youth, a tower of strength, a rock of truth...

Hopefully, we won't be on that list by 2015.

From a competition stand point.. Mac is better. From a dollars view, this misfit conference is better.

Wish we'd stop adding garbage to the conference.....

On the contrary, the continued adding is perhaps the "tell" that they are preparing to lose Uconn and UC in the not too distant future.

Who will be UC's rival? I think Memphis makes the most sense. Them or Temple.
Not to be a debbie downer, but it's not all good attention.

Who cares. It is national attention. UC's basketball program needs attention in just about any way it can get it.

A small private school that clearly has only the 3rd best program in a population wise small state. What an addition!
