Oklahoma is considered a pretty good academic school. OU does not have a medical school and perhaps as a result they're not part of the AAU but neither is Nebraska. Nebraska used to be and got removed. I actually thought both were until I looked it up here:

While we're on the subject of AAU, I haven't heard anything about UC gaining membership lately and then I noticed on that link that it's by invite only and with Ohoi State in it, I suspect we won't be invited due to politics. We hashed over all this a long time ago and I remermber little :/
