UC just received a major commitment from WR Malik Elzy, a 247sports.com composite 4* talent. Elzy chose UC over IL, which were recruiting him hard.

There's something about where NIL is headed that disturbs me. Kids, such as Malik Elzy, are in it for the money. He's into branding himself. How will that fit in a locker room that is filled with guys committed to winning via team building? Elzy may turn out to be a tremendous addition to the Bearcats, but I fear that he could be just another prima donna WR, in it for himself. "Give me the ball or I'll make a fuss on the sidelines."

I don't think that this staff is going to let that happen. I think we saw a little of that with Tavion Thomas attitude and the staff pushed him out.
