OHHH YEAHHH. He goes by CJ but his nickname is Kool-Aid. Also runs track and can fly. Key addition.

    Thank you for this.

I think we need (both basketball & football) at least one really impactful recruit to move the programs further and while they can definitely occur with 3 *’s being coached up, I don’t have the faith right now in the ability of either coaching staff to take 3* talent and make them into a game changer. I don’t know Kolin Wilson at all, but the offers I see we competed with are MAC-ish. I definitely can’t claim to remember all our recruits offers, but it feels like 1/2 to 2/3 of the time the competing offers aren’t at the level I think UC’s been consistently at for the last 20 years. Maybe it’s NIL? I surely don’t know. I just feel like there’s more New Mexicos, Toledos, UConns that I thought we’d be competing with.

Difficult to say at this point. The 2025 sample size is way too small.

Johnson chose UC over GA Tech and Ole Miss. He had offers from FL, TN, KY & VA, among others.

Newton has almost 2500 students in grades 9-12 according to their website.

    Moeller has 879 by comparison.

He is a 4* by 247 and the 31st ranked RB.

We have added a breakaway threat in Mr. Johnson who will be a key addition to the team. Watch the first 3 videos on the videos on the Hudl link. You won't be disappointed. He can run by or over you. Low center of gravity at 5'9. Probably needs some time in the weight room at 180 but he's got a year of HS to work on that.
