Anyone have a feel for what % of our recruits are choosing UC over other highly performing power programs?

Difficult to say at this point. The 2025 sample size is way too small.

I think we need (both basketball & football) at least one really impactful recruit to move the programs further and while they can definitely occur with 3 *’s being coached up, I don’t have the faith right now in the ability of either coaching staff to take 3* talent and make them into a game changer. I don’t know Kolin Wilson at all, but the offers I see we competed with are MAC-ish. I definitely can’t claim to remember all our recruits offers, but it feels like 1/2 to 2/3 of the time the competing offers aren’t at the level I think UC’s been consistently at for the last 20 years. Maybe it’s NIL? I surely don’t know. I just feel like there’s more New Mexicos, Toledos, UConns that I thought we’d be competing with.

There are only 5 verbals so far, but here are the P4 offers for each of them:

RB Zion Johnson: FL, KY, MS, TN
CB Patrick Williams: TN, UCF, Vandy
QB Zebulin Kinsey: OK St, WV
              RB Kolin Wilson: Northwestern
WR Kamaurri Smith: KY, Pitt, Purdue, Rutgers

At this point, UC's early commits are ranked #41 by 247sports.com and #7 in the B12 (out of the upcoming 16 schools).

Samuel comes to UC from the Land of Lincoln. It's nice to see some continuity from the staff to staff in that region. 3 star OL that plays primarily Tackle.

That's the high school my boys will attend. Not only his SCP a mountain of a human being, he's a great kid.

Miss St. appears to be trying to flip Kolin. Late offer this week.

Crite is listed as a WR/LB at 6'1 and played both ways well in HS. He's being recruited as an LB but has good ball skills. in 3-3-5 It wouldn't suprise my if he's at the Hybrid S/LB position.

The plan is for Crite to play the center safety position (as you mention, the hybrid S/LB).
