6’5” is nice and all but what UC has not had in recent years are receivers who can separate from their defenders. Hopefully Waller has that ability. Welcome nonetheless.

I hope he's great, I really do, but unranked with competing offers from Western Kentucky and Tulane. 2021 feels like a lifetime ago.

I completely get your point but at 6'5 you can jump ball him and he'll generally win that battle even if the coverage is tight.

We offered a second 6'5 guy this week. Looks like that's a recruiting focus.

Jerry is 6'7" and has played both the tackle and DE position in HS. Walt Stewart is going to put him at the EDGE position from the look of it. Gray does not have a weight listed but at 6'7 is going to be a load for blockers regardless

Watch Jerry Gray's videos and highlights on Hudl. More info: Detroit Central HS - Boys' Varsity Football / T, DE / Class of 2026 / detroit, MI

Goodman is an interesting one. He has committed on the same day he was offered. It doesn't look he's been on campus as his official visit is not until June 6-8. He is not rated by 247 at all. Rivals has him as a 3 star ranking. He had offers from Cal, IU and Ole MIss. I feel like I'm missing something here but happy to have him on board.

Watch Brooks Goodman's videos and highlights on Hudl. More info: Blessed Trinity High School - Boys Varsity Football / QB / Class of 2026 / Roswell, GA

Goodman definitely has been on campus, as these photos show:

Similar to Austin Hoane, Zappitelli also plays multiple line positions.

I'm impressed that we landed a player out of this program.. Lake Catholic, as with a lot of schools in this region of Ohio, has been a pipeline to tOSU for decades. We've recruited at Lake Catholic before but I don't think we've ever signed anyone in recent memory. Zappitelli is and important pick up just for that reason alone.

Big target at 6'6 200lbs. Also played DE on the defensive side of the ball in HS as well as basketball. Has the makings of a future UC TE to the NFL from the program.
