My only issue with Jancek is that he has been an on the field coach. Banks was the guy in the box, Jancek was the guy on the sidelines. That system seems to work well. Be interesting how they do it this year. Jancek coaches the LB's and there is no doubt this was the primary strength of the D last year.
Wonder if they had somebody picked out and backed out on coming. BTW, lay off Combs and the DB's. Our DB's have gotten better towards the end of the season. We don't have guys like Mickens and Smith, but I do see potential in Williams, Drane and Cheatam. Those guys are not true shut down corners, but given there youth, give them a break. We definitely didn't have the amount of breakdowns as we had the previously year.
The problem the past two years to this one, is that we were playing youth and suffered a lot of injuries. We are making progress and Jones is building depth.
