UMass, another independent, are ranked in Sagarin Predictor as the worst FBS team in the country at #236 (only 130 FBS schools, so 106 FCS schools are ahead of them). Akron is #207; UTEP #184; UConn #176.

On a side note, I can remember (way back) when somebody used to write an article each week outlining the bottom 10 teams in the country. He referred to UTEP as "The University of Texas at Intercepted Passo".
