I’m kinda curious what people think about the possibility of filling the newly open date on 12/5 with BYU provided we beat UCF tomorrow.

I personally don’t like the idea. It has the potential to knock both teams out of a prime bowl spot. BYU isn’t really eligible for CFP selection since they’re not in a league and don’t have an agreement with the CFP, but they can keep us out by beating us. Chances are if UC runs the table and so does BYU both teams at least get an NY6 bid. By playing each other only one of us gets that spot.

I didn’t even think about that but to be honest that’s a bad scenario except for the streak and traditions sake. SOS would go down and we need healthy bodies for Tulsa. Hard pass.
