If John Williams (Soph) was considered such a gem in camp last year as a true freshman, why didn't he replace James at LT in the bowl game. Metz is back-up right guard. That could be a good spot for the big guy.

I want to be supportive of Metz because he’s a mountain but he can’t play anything but center if he’s going to jump on the snap as often as he does.

It might be a good move. With help on either side it may make him more comfortable in his timing and ability to get into his pass blocking stance.
