Something to note:
- No. 2 Alabalma sneaks past a losing record team LSU.
- No. 3 MSU loses to Purdue.
- No. 4 Oregon strugles with Washing that has a losing record.
- No. 5 tosu struggles against Nebraska that has a losing record.
- No. 9 Wake loses to NC State
- No. 10 ND blows out Navy.
- No. 11 Oklahoma State blows out WVU
- No. 12 Baylor loses to TCU

Take away is that Georgia was the only convincing team.
