SMU currently up on Houston 77-63. No typo there. Mind boggling.

So, holding SMU to 27 points may not have been that bad??? As for Houston, how do you put up 63 points and still lose?

One of the 10 TDs was a rushing TD. Definitely offensive player of the week in the American. Maybe nationally.

I'm just looking at the box score this morning after I saw this score last night. Clayton Tune threw for 7 TDs , 527 yards and ran for 100 yards and LOST because he also threw 3 INTS.

I didn't see any of the game itself. Did both of the teams just not bring Defensive Backs with them to the field? That's a basketball score.

There were receivers running wild the entire game, both ways. As far as basketball is concerned, the announcer mentioned that one of the UH-SMU games last year ended 75-61. Pretty close comparison.

Weird that they have the booster club paying his salary. Another Dabo Swinney assistant bites the dust. I wonder if Venables will pan out.

I think most state schools, including UC, have the coach's compensation set up that way. There is a maximum salary that a state employee can make, and the boosters (e.g., UCATS) pays the rest.

                        FYI…

SMU topped Houston 77-63 on Saturday in the highest-scoring regular-season game in college football history. The ridiculous matchup between AAC powers surpassed Pitt's 76-61 victory over Syracuse in 2016 when the Panthers and Orange combined for 137 points and nearly 1,300 yards of offense -- with 47 points coming in the fourth quarter alone.

Settle down near the fireplace and fire up the TV for SMU at Tulane -7:30 on ESPN.

UCF is not getting into the endzone so far. 14-6 Navy at the Half.
