Here's an odd one (regarding an oddball) that doesn't affect the FBS head coaching ranks. American gypsy Bobby Petrino just quit as HC at Missouri State (FCS) to take the OC job at UNLV.

Petrino and Vegas seem like a natural fit to be honest and it probably pays more than FCS HC. Somewhat related, that should be an NIL hotbed.

If you're keeping track, that's Jimbo Fisher (killed his offense) plus Bobby Petrino (almost killed himself and mistress) and DJ Durkin (effectively killed a player and got fired) on the same staff. I feel sorry for the AD and SID down there. They might be busy.

I know that he is the commissioner of the B1G 10 and not a coach but this could affect things. Such as if tosu's AD takes that position. How will the new AD be perceived by Ryan Day? There could be dominos falling because of this. Probably not though.

AS was suspected, Brian Hartline was made OC at tOSU. This keeps him in the fold and away from the HC position at other schools and in line to become the next HC at tOSU/ He will now be active recruiting other positions besides WR. .
