  • The last hurrah through the American

I see all over social media including this forum good riddance to this team or that. Let's not get too far over our skiis here. When the Bearcats were independent they played a heavy dose of Memphis, ECU, Tulane etc. When CUSA formed it was with a lot of former independent opponents. When the Cats left for "greener pastures" in the BIG EAST a lot of good riddance posts were written, but then the BIG EAST collapsed, and guess who was called our old friends from the independent days in CUSA. So with the ever changing landscape on college realignment lets not forget who helped us get to the Big XII, and if it collapses who will get the call to be our conference mates again.

ECU is back, and I am really glad that we play them our final time at Nippert. They completely demolished UCF last night.

ECU, USF, Memphis, Temple, etc.... I hope there isn't a day, a year or two down the road, that we wish they were our next opponent, and not Oklahoma State or Texas Tech.
